Chichester Recycling Survey – How Much Do You Know?

CDC Recycling and Waste Team are re-running their recycling survey throughout June to help capture public knowledge of recycling and inform future campaigns

Published: 9 June 2025

Last year they received over 5,000 responses,  61% of these said they wanted to know more about what can and can’t be recycled at home in West Sussex. In response, 24 new recycling animations were created and launched over the past year. These short videos focus on specific materials — such as black plastics, nappies, and bathroom items — and explain how to dispose of them correctly at home. This is just one example of how valuable last summer’s recycling survey was in helping us talk to residents about recycling and waste prevention.

The survey is open until midnight Monday 30 June 2025 and you can take part on our website here: Think Before You Throw | Your Voice West Sussex
